Message from the Rector

(Added 25/9/2017)

We are currently experiencing problems with our parish-wide emailing system.  In the short term, here is the text of the latest Update

Dear friends- at least, I thought you were my friends,

Bertie here. Very sad. I had a lovely time with you all yesterday morning thinking about what our call to serve in the Church community and in the world around as a response to God's kindness. I got hold of an orange sheet of paper and was all set to fill it in. So imagine my disappointment this morning when I overheard Fr Richard talking about an amazing service last night with Corpus Christi- he said that there was a superb turnout from the parish and a really wonderful sense of worshipping together in a way which is rare and special.

I thought I must have slept through it, somehow, and missed out on all of the Party Rings but then it turned out that it had happened at Corpus Christi and no one had invited me along. Nobody asked me to go with them. Not even Charlie. I'm too sad to carry on with this message. Goodbye, people I thought were my friends. Read the sermon from the morning. Pray and think. Return the form. And then read the sermon from the Evening, if you'd like to, about what we can learn today as Christians from the Reformations. I am too sad to read it myself. I would have loved to be there, making friends with other mice and.. it's too much. Bye. Farewell.

Bertie the tragically rejected Mouse

The message refers to three documents, The Morning Sermon, the Volunteering Sheet, and the Sermon given at Corpus Christi on the Reformation.
All three can be found on our Parish Documents Page
